The REAR Lab performs three main types of contract testing:
Clinical Evaluation of Rehabilitation and Assistive Technologies
Performance can be measured using controlled tests as well as real-world evaluations. As such, evaluation can include short- and long-term timeframes. Testing procedures will be determined based upon the objectives as defined by manufacturers. The REARLab has extensive expertise in defining research protocols and product evaluation methodologies to collect valid performance measurements.
Wheel Chair Cushion Testing
The REAR Lab performs wheel chair cusihon testing including: dimensioning, loaded contour depth and overload depth, Interface pressure tests, positioning tests, cushion adjustability assessment, PDAC HCPS (SADMERC) Simulated use tests, and Advanced Simulated Use Testing
Rehabilitation and Assistive Technology Design
The REARLab, in conjunction with the Schools of Industrial Design and Mechanical Engineering, are pleased to offer Rehabilitation and Assistive Technology Design activities to improve the independence and function of persons with disabilities.
